What is Breathwork?

Breathwork is a general term that describes using intentional breathing to promote healing. Breathwork has been utilized by cultures all over the world for centuries. Many different types of Breathwork have developed each with their own way of using conscious breath.

I have found Embodiment and Somatic Breathwork to be the most powerful forms. In a session, we utilize different patterns and holds to get out of the mind and into the body, where we can release trauma, stress and old emotions and shift into a more vibrant state.

The effects of Breathwork are felt immediately and ripple into all areas of our lives. It becomes difficult to quantify what it can do for each person, but I can guarantee that Breathwork will improve your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual states.

Take it from a girl who was chronically stressed, anxious, and whose health was a mess, Breathwork will change your life if you let it.

Before Breathwork, I was stuck in a trauma response. I hit burnout (many times), I had a head-to-toe rash and was chronically stressed. On a mission to heal, I found Breathwork and it changed everything. Health issues improved, the crazies in my mind went away and that perpetual state of anxiety no longer lives in my chest. Before Breathwork I was suffering with Breathwork I’m thriving!

Somatics

Using the body to heal.

Somatic is a cool word to describe working in the body. When we utilize somatics, we use a bottom-up approach to healing meaning we go into the body, feel what is there, and use the body to heal. All of the trauma and stress that cause anxiety and health issues are living in the body. In Breathwork sessions we focus on allowing the body to be our guide, feeling the felt sense, inviting movement and sound, and seeing what the body needs to release and let go.

When we work with the body, we get right to the root of what is causing us distress. Somatics allow us to heal faster and deeper than any other modality
